Stillness

You are being asked to stand still for a moment, to take pause and turn over the very stone upon which are you standing. Oftentimes we walk upon this Earth quickly or swiftly, noticing the trees and the birds and the sky around us. And sometimes we rest for a moment and consider the ground beneath our feet. But rarely do get the chance to unearth the very stuff beneath our feet, the solid earth upon which we are standing. This is your task for today. Consider the resources under your feet and send mountains of gratitude to the Mother of all Beings who has gifted us all with loving support, no matter where we stand upon her soils. Get down, crouch down and smell the Earth below. See the tiny granules of sand or dirt or rock and give thanks to the endless support that you have, no matter what. We oftentimes do not consider this endless support below us, and find ourselves looking to others or an external source like money or love or things to support us and keep us safe. These are all nice things. But truly, we have walked upon the grandest and most stable support system for all of eternity. Mother Earth is here, she is granting us the time and space to experience for ourselves what it would feel like to thank her and bless her and honor her just as she is, without trying to change her or feel like she is going away. She will be here for longer than this tiny sliver of our soul’s journey will be here. She has seen us through our darkest times, and yet, she has not judged us or slipped the rug out beneath our feet because of our choices or trips or falls. She has simply been here, stable and steady, offering us a place to step forward, backwards, or simply stand still. There is no judgment from our Mother. She wants the best for us and she offers this with unconditional love and support. So for today, honor this stability with a moment of stillness. Breathe into what it feels like to stand still and know that, no matter what, the unconditional love flowing up into our bodies from this timeless and yet ancient source will never go away or make us feel unworthy for where we place our feet next or where our footsteps have been. May all Beings have peace, love and happiness. We are Divine Loving Light. We are Divine Loving Light. We are Diving Loving Light. So be it.
