Love Life. Be Curious. Keep Learning.

Grounding

To embody love more fully, one may wish to practice meditations that ground you and let you be more comfortable in your position in life and within your own skin. Sometimes it is challenging to embody love as fully as we wish when we are absorbed with where we have gone or where we are headed or what other humans think about where we have gone or where we are going. Sitting or moving one’s body in silence for a few minutes a day may help to calm the soul and quiet the mind and the ego from the distractions of the collective consciousness that encourages us to be discontent or unsure of our station or our self-worth. Sitting in silence or walking in silence, in Nature preferably, is like an elixir that cleanses the body and mind from worrying about our legacy or our title or our next move. Try this as often as you can and see how your worries about these topics shift. Does the rock worry about its legacy? Does the redwood care for its young and also understand in its roots that all Life is significant and all Life is connected? We are very often caught up in activities that do not let us feel in our bones the Life Force energy we are made of. Even if for a few minutes or breaths a day, lay down your distractions and tune into your breath.

Close your eyes. Give thanks for being alive. Imagine roots below your feet and open up the crown of your head to the shining sun. Feel your heart beating in your chest. Take three breaths. Smile. Think of your loved ones. Think of Mother Earth. Open your eyes. Repeat as often as you’d like!
