Morning
Melodious chirping,
Silent, slow ripples along the water
Quick, quick quips go the little birdies.
Swaying ever so to and fro,
Rumble, rumble go the trucks,
La-de-da go the dogs and the walkers and the runners leap, step, leap.
Long calls from the seagulls,
Tiny sips from the little birdies.
Way up high, long, slow opening of the wings of the herons in the eucalyptus trees,
Seeing everyone unfold, blink, greet the morning fog.
