Pause
Taking pause to reflect on one’s patterns of communication and listening to how one describes a situation to oneself can be liberating. The most generous gifts are sometimes packaged in ways that do not look like gifts. One has to look deeply to understand that when information is presented to you, there are different ways to receive it. Oftentimes the first initial human response to a gift not wanted is not as expansive as it could be. But with pause, reflection and looking within, there are ways to interpret the gifts given by others as true gifts.
What are patterns of communication you embody time and time again? Are there hidden gifts in the way others communicate with you? Understanding oneself and rising above our own unconscious patterns is one of the biggest gifts we can give ourselves, and often it is an uncomfortable situation or an event that irks us and makes us feel challenged that lets us rise up to see the shadow of ourselves below, and rise to meet our true selves.
