Presence
You may hold presence today by breathing into your experiences and by truly looking with both your outer eyes and your inner eyes as you converse with other people, take a walk outside or perform an activity. We are accustomed to only allowing our outer eyes to navigate the world, however our inner eyes can have great strength in allowing us to really see into a situation or a moment with another being. For today, at least once, allow both your outer eyes and your inner eyes to be open and clear as you interact with another living being. That could be a person, a tree or even the living water in your cup. Take a few breaths as you notice the beautiful being in front of you. See them with your outer eyes. And then take a few breaths and see if you can notice anything with your inner eyes. How are you connected? What brings joy to this being? How do they bring joy to you? Any question that comes to mind is perfect for this moment. Seeing with your inner eyes is more of a feeling of looking deeper, beneath the surface, and witnessing the whole being rather than just the skin that houses their spirit, body and mind. Be curious about what comes up for you when you take this one pause of presence today.
