Senses
There is so much going on behind the scenes and beyond our outer eyes’ view. What we see with our outer eyes is just one aspect of an entire process of energy. In our modern world, our outer eyes have become the most prominent of our senses, but that doesn’t mean we must follow this path completely.
We have many senses, five named senses but more that are unrecognized and unnamed. Our breath, for example. Being in tune with our breath and knowing when we are in alignment with our actions and our surroundings and how our breath responds is another sense. Our hair! Our hair has feelings too. And our heart, of course. Our heart is our biggest sense, the one that we can learn to ‘flex’ the most.
Our physical embodiment here on Earth is meant to engage us with all of these mysterious senses, these ways that we experience life differently than when we were only stars in the sky. The complexities of our lives are somewhat self-created, somewhat given to us, and one of our roles as sentient beings is to unravel ourselves from the complexities of our senses, to trust our hearts, and to experience all of the stimulations, distractions, joys, and experiences breath by breath without judgement.
If you close your eyes and follow your breath, is it possible to follow your inner senses and gather up your courage to describe what your purpose on this Earth is? We all have a purpose, and we all have a part to play on this beautiful Mother Earth.
What is your purpose? How are your senses giving you the strength to share your purpose with the world?
